I would like to get more involved in health and safety at work. What can I do?

Effective safety management is reliant on the active involvement of all in safety – you could volunteer to be a first aider, DSE Advisor, trade union safety representative, building warden, COSHH assessor or most practically by reviewing the risk assessments for your work with your manager and reporting safety incidents or near misses.  The organisation also uses Departmental Safety Contacts (DSC’s) to assist in the dissemination of information to its Departmental members.
