Each year STFC reviews and re-issues its H&S Management Arrangement, the STFC equivalent of a H&S policy. As STFC is part of UKRI we come under the high level UKRI H&S Policy.
In summary I ask you to:
- Read the
STFC H&S Management Arrangements
to ensure that you understand YOUR responsibilities. This document can
be accessed by you and those outside the STFC firewalls through the
STFC SHE website;
- If you have not alread completetd it, there is a short BiteSize training course that is mandatory for all staff to complete once when commencing work for STFC; and
- Ensure that those who work for, and with you, without electronic access receive hard copies, destroying any previous copies.
Further information can be obtained from the
STFC SHE Group.
“Health and Safety has to remain at the heart of everything we do in the delivery of our world-class science and research programme. Whilst our health and safety record is good, we must never take this for granted. We are all responsible for our own health and safety and that of our colleagues. Maintaining our excellent record for safety and preventing work-related ill health will continue to be the highest priority for STFC”
